Fresh Updates in Real Estate:

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has just rolled out new rules (and it's gNARly). Here's how these updates will impact your next move in the housing market:

For Sellers:

  • Offering a buyer's agent commission is now optional!
  • You can provide a credit to the buyer for their agent's fee or still offer compensation to the buyer's agent—it's your choice!
  • Remember, everything is negotiable, so don't forget to factor in potential credits and buyer agent fees when pricing your home!

For Buyers:

  • Before seeing homes, you'll be asked to sign a Buyer Broker Agreement.
  • This agreement will outline how your agent gets compensated.
  • Say goodbye to seeing commissions advertised on the MLS and third-party websites like Redfin! 👻

As we look ahead to 2025, the housing market could really take off! 🚀 While this is the current trajectory, we'll be closely monitoring the data in the coming months.

Our favorite events to welcome the fall season in October!
