The Doheny Blues Festival in Dana Point, California, features rock, soul, and blues on the beach. The musical showcase, one of the best blues festivals in Southern California, features a weekend of great music, microbrews, and beach parties. The festival also features an informal wine bar, an international food court, and a Kidz EcoFest with activities and exhibits for young visitors. BB King, Etta James, Al Green, and Crosby, Stills, and Nash have all performed at this annual event.
4th of July Fireworks

The BEST Fourth of July fireworks show in Southern California will take place at Doheny State Beach. North American AT-6 aircraft from the Second World War’s Condor Squadron will fly over Dana Point before the fireworks display.
Dana Point Lantern District Car & Motorcycle Show

Dana Point Classic Car Show features 250 vintage automobiles on Del Prado Avenue. The event is FREE to the public and will feature awards, entertainment, food trucks, beer gardens, and more.

This festival honors California’s rich maritime heritage and our ties to the sea! Visiting Tall Ships, Mermaid Swim Shows, a Beer Garden, a Pirate and Mermaid Ball, Cannon Battles, a Pirate School, a Reenactors and Sailor Camp, Live Music, Vendors, Food Trucks, and more will all be part of this weekend event that is jam-packed with fun!
Experience a bit of life at sea with the tall ships in Dana Point. The Tall Ships Festival, which began in 1984, is the Ocean Institute’s premier annual event, attracting thousands of visitors to Dana Point’s beautiful harbor. The Pilgrim brig, a goodwill ambassador for the Ocean Institute and the City of Dana Point, returns from her yearly summer sail during this festival, which honors her arrival. The Pilgrim is a scaled-down version of the hide brig that Richard Henry Dana, Jr. immortalized in his famous seafaring book Two Years Before the Mast. Thousands of kids have stepped onto her decks since she arrived in Dana Point in 1981 to take part in one of her numerous accoladed living history programs.
Halloween Spooktacular & Trunk or Treat

Fun Halloween-themed event at the community center in Dana Point. The City’s Recreation Division is collaborating with Dana Point Police Services to host two fantastic family events on the same day. From 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, there will be indoor activities, including a detailed Halloween maze, games, crafts, entertainment, and kid-friendly treats. The Dana Point Police Services Trunk or Treat is one of the outdoor events that take place from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. There will be candy for the kids at each display they visit. Meet the dedicated staff that keeps Dana Point safe, including the Mounted Patrol, Bomb Squad, Bloodhounds, K-9 Unit, and more. At 6:00 p.m., there will be a costume parade for children, with prizes! Food trucks will be selling food and refreshments.

The Dana Point Turkey Trot has been named one of America’s best Thanksgiving Day runs by Fitness Magazine. More than 10,000 runners and spectators attend the 5K, 10K, Combo 15K, Kids’ 1-mile Gobble Wobble, and two-day expo. Experience Dana Point’s breathtaking beach, soaring cliffs, and coves.

The 47th Annual Boat Parade of Lights, “Surfin’ USA,” will return to Dana Point Harbor this December! Decorate your boats for a chance to win up to $10,000 in cash prizes in a number of different award categories.
Starting on November 16, the annual holiday light display, which features over 700,000 LED lights, will illuminate the harbor. The Boat Parade of Lights will take place from December 9 to December 11.
Lighting installations such as the giant whale sculpture and the “Merry Kiss Me” arch, as well as holiday-themed photo opportunities, visits with Santa, strolling carolers, and more, are available to both locals and visitors.

Guests are invited to sip fine wines and sample a wide range of delicious cuisine at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. The few tickets available are quickly sold out (because the wines being poured are rare). An evening of tasting rare trophy wines for an adoring crowd dressed in their best casual/elegant resort wear will begin with a champagne reception.
BEACHSIDE WINE FESTIVAL

Sun, sea, food, drink, and music all come together at this sun-drenched wine festival in the grassy, palm-lined Sea Terrace Park to create the ultimate California wine tasting experience. At this all-day event, wine and food enthusiasts will be able to sample hundreds of fine wines, local craft beers, and a dizzying array of foods. The festival is in full swing by 1:00 p.m. at this white-topped tent village that resembles Camelot next to the glistening Pacific Ocean.
