For families with kids in high school, Dana Hills High School is a great option. When shopping in Dana Point, locals go to the Lantern Village for local shops and Fashion Island in Newport Beach for high-end stores and restaurants. The three best neighborhoods are The Strand, Monarch Beach, and Ritz Cove, each offering high-end homes with ocean views and guard gated security. Both Monarch Beach and Ritz Cove boast first-class resorts inside their community. When journeying outside, two of the best options are Lantern Bay Park and the Dana Point Harbor. The harbor entertains with the yearly gathering at the Doheny Blues Festival for adults, and the Tall Ships Festival is a great experience for the entire family.
